The Eagle on Kirra Lookout

I’ve heard whispers of the eagle’s time on Kirra coming to an end. It’s had 36 years overlooking the southern end of the Gold Coast and many have gone up on that hill and watched from the beautiful view it is. Sadly it has not fared well with the salty air and weather so I knew I needed to get up there and capture something special. I had gone up the week before but had only captured storm clouds. This time I arrived and it was raining but I persevered and when this shot happened the clouds were perfectly over the eagle as the sun came close to rising.
