This particular morning I went to watch the waves from Kirra lookout. I’d heard of the big waves and even closed beaches. When I got there they looked flat and I was wondering why the surfers bothered. You could have asked me the same question. When I headed out I doubted the sunrise would look incredible. But it’s only by taking a chance that you can get the incredible. Staying in bed guaranteed failure so I and the surfers were up. As I watched the waves, the sun came out, the waves lifted and the surfers were ready for action. On the way home popped into Kirra Bakery (best bakery in the Gold Coast!) and discovered that with school holidays the highway was empty for a smooth ride home. To me this has a 70’s carefree feel about it. What do you think? 🤔
