For the last day of the year I traveled down to Byron Bay where many people were planning to celebrate and going to parties. Instead I went to the lighthouse and from there down to the beach. It was a gorgeous end to 2018 and then, leaving the town, I had to make my way through the crowds to have an early start for the first sunrise of 2019.
