I love the clarity of the Gold Coast surf and when a blue sky day came I was ready to capture it. With Burleigh’s reputation of spectacular surf and unique culture I wanted the shot to be at the Burleigh beach itself. I also wanted to capture some of the simplicity of being at the beach. What I wasn’t expecting was to include the lifesavers in the shot. It was such a joy to walk about in that crystal clear water and hope you can picture yourself doing that when you look at this picture.

Camera used: Nikon D810. Settings: 18-35mm (at 24mm), f/5.6, exposure 1/125. Filters used.
